REALTÀ FLUTTUANTI is a solo exhibition of Michele Farina that invites visitors on an immersive journey where the boundaries between the natural and the artificial, the physical and the digital, blend into a unified visual and sensory experience. Each work on display is part of an interconnected ecosystem, reflecting the complexity of relationships between humans, nature, and technology through the fusion of various media.

The central theme of the exhibition is the concept of morphism, originating from the fields of mathematics and biology. Aesthetically, morphism is expressed in forms that transform and adapt, evoking the ongoing process of evolution and change found in nature. The works exemplify this fusion between the organic and the inorganic, between what is static and what is in flux, offering a reflection on the fluidity of forms and identities in the contemporary world.

In addition to morphism, the exhibition explores the delicate balance between determinism and chance. While technology often evokes a sense of control and predictability, the exhibited works highlight how the element of chance plays a crucial role in the machine's behavior. The use of algorithms, though rooted in a deterministic framework, introduces a margin of uncertainty and unpredictability. This indeterminacy is not seen as a flaw but rather as a source of innovation and discovery, akin to the human creative process. Machines, like humans, can make mistakes, and it is precisely within these errors that an unexpected, autopoietic form of technology emerges.

One of the exhibition's goals is to question the role of art and the artist, who in this context becomes a mediator between the machine and the world, creating productive syntheses that reveal the hidden intentionality in what was once considered a mere tool. Practices traditionally associated with humans are entrusted to algorithms, making them active partners in a continuous, reciprocal process of transformation and renegotiation.

REALTÀ FLUTTUANTI invites us to rethink the definition of what it means to be human, promoting new forms of coexistence and alliances between organic and inorganic beings. It challenges the audience to embrace the new, the unexpected, and the unpredictable.
